Beef Soup Is A Common Cold Remedy
For the last week I have been under the weather. It must be because of the season change and the lack of sleep due to the amount of work and cooking I have been doing to deliver this amazing new blog. Because of it I had to make one of my favorite soups, Braised Beef Nilaga. Beef Nilaga is a Filipino dish that translates to “Nilagang Baka” which also means Boiled Beef. This is a simple and easy recipe to cook and you don’t have to be some amazing chef/cook to prepare it. This recipe is best served on a cold and rainy day or maybe when you go to the gym, get all sweaty, and then get sick by going outside into the somewhat freezing cold and feel stupid because your close friend told you not to in the first place. I am totally talking about someone else. LoL. Now moving on…
The Ingredients To An Amazing Beef Soup
One of the main reasons why this recipe is so simple to make is because it can be prepared all in one big pot. The only skill here is the knowledge of cutting up all the ingredients. I personally am a very detailed chef, so I love to have all my cuts perfect and almost near identical to the rest. Making sure that all your ingredients are fresh are very important to the true flavor of this dish. I enjoy going to a local farmers markets to purchase everything I would need to bring this dish to life. If you can’t get to a farmer’s market, then your own local grocery store would suffice.
It’s Almost Winter So Eat Up & Stay Warm
As it starts to get much colder heading into the last months of the year I strongly suggest you try this recipe and other soup recipes. I’ve always enjoyed soup ever since I was a kid! One of my favorites, along with this one, is the Chicken Tortilla Soup with Cheddar Cheese, extra Tortilla Strips, and some hot sauce. I think I just made myself hungry and now I’m planning my next meal. I feel that all my dishes taste amazing just the way I serve them up but there’s always a couple more ingredients you can put in them that can take it up another notch. I love food! I want you all to love it with me.
